Lani Shepherd - Artist's Profile

Lani Shepherd is a stained glass artist whose work ranges from small vibrant and contemporary pieces to large commissions for public buildings. The main thing about her work is the wonderful combinations of colours and shapes. Lani designs and makes contemporary stained glass panels using handmade glass. She uses the unique qualities of the glass to create original and exciting work. Her range includes hangings, window panels and wall panels for interior use, as well as sculptures and lights.

She works from a studio set on the beautiful North Devon coast. Her experience as a sculptor and jeweller, working with ideas developed from natural and architectural themes, gives her creations an original and jewel-like quality. She works closely with clients to create beautiful objects for their enjoyment.

Lani is a member of North Devon Arts. She exhibits regularly and sells her work through local sources. She participates in the North Devon Festival with displays and workshops at Appledore Visual Festival and at the Art Trek open studio event. Lani teaches workshops at her Castle Hill studio and other venues and events.
